error when opening image - don't start xnview then

Sometimes I try opening erroneous images in xnview.
What happens then is:

---------------------------
Warning
---------------------------
Error opening the file <bla>
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

Followed by opening xnview-browser in my default directory.

I always have to close this xnview instance an try another image..
there is no use for me with the xnview browser in this situation.

better options would be:
a) don't open xnview at all or
b) open the browser at the location where I tried to open the image

If this would be implemented: I'd suggest to make it an option as well :]

:) Hello !
…Error opening the file <bla> …
• You might check the association in Windows, it's possible that the file-name¦s contain¦s (a) space¦s,
and that the quotes of "%1" have been lost in Win, that's not rare…
- Please, check too that the extensions are displayed normally. The default of Win hidding them is pretty dangerous…

Hey Clo!

I must interfere: There is no problems with my links and I drive very, very good with hidden extensions (for years now!) because everything (Type and Icon) is perfectly set up.

The problem is in xnview: Give xnview a wrong path: error + opening xnview.
Give xnview a path to a broken image, or one with 0 size: error + opening xnview.

In both cases errors are fine but opening the programm is absolutely useless.
Know now what I mean? :]
Thanks for replying though!!!
