Juste tape into the nconvert 4.81 directory ( with nconvert.exe):
nconvert.exe -help > nconvert-help.txt
to generate the updated list of commands.
-clevel value : PNG Compression level (default : 6) ?

thanks for the tip. nice to have the help file as printed text now.
still don't see a levels option. i see your example of clevel but
that's compression. i'm looking for the levels command that acts
like contrast or gamma. i'm still on 4.79. has it been added?
thanks again,
BabaG

you would like to have a level command like xnview?

very much so. actually i was a little surprised it wasn't there.
guess i just was assuming pretty much that if it was in xnview
it was also in nconvert. the way i'd like to use nconvert is in
conjunction with xnview, using xnview to play with images and
obtain settings, then applying those settings repeatedly with
an nconvert script.

Yeah, command line level command would be awesome. Or, is there a way to force xnview do a command line script based on .xbs file it generates?
auto-level and auto-contrast

I would also like to see the auto-level and the auto-contrast features added to nconvert. These features in xnview do such a good job that I'd trust them to convert a whole batch of files.
