Faster navigation of the folder tree

I use XnView to browse through thousands of subfolders, and I'd like a faster way of moving from folder to folder.

Currently I click on every folder name, which is not ideal. A "go to next folder in tree" shortcut key would be awesome. :D I know I can highlight a folder and press the up or down keys, but there's a delay of about 1 second before the new folder is loaded. :( I want it to load immediately.

Thanks for the great software!

Yes, normal, there is a delay when you navigate by key. Dreamer do you have a hotkey for 'next folder'?

Ctrl+PageDown - and Ctrl+PageUp for previous folder.

You could use these shortcuts also to switch to next/previous folder in view/fullscreen mode - when you implement such a feature (requested before). Then we'll have these shortcuts:

pagedown/up - next/previous image

shift+pagedown/up - next/previous page

ctrl+pagedown/up - next/previous folder (same shortcuts for browser/viewer/fullscreen)

Is this feature no more/disabled/absent in Windows 7? It seems to work but only in browser mode for me...
