Hello,
I use extensive the location infos in my pictures.
If it's possible to add a function that store the locations in dependece on the importance loction? I found only Imabas that have a database for the location infos.
I think on a selection box that I could edit in the IPTC editor or I could select an previous location.
The loctation would stored in dependece the higher location. Have I selected a state/province so I get only the possible city to select.
greatings
Alex

I will try it again.
I mean a kind auto complete function for the location fields (Country Code, Country Name, State/Province, City, Sublocation).
And these auto complete dependence a location of the higher prior location. Country Code and Country Name are influenced each other. In the State/Province, City and Sublocation field the auto complete suggest only locations that are fit to the higher prior location.
e.g.
Germany (DEU)
- Bayerm
-- München
-- Nürnberg
- Sachsen
-- Dresden
-- Leipzig
Austria (AUT)
- Niederösterreich
-- St. Pölten
- Burgenland
-- Eisenstadt
When I now entered in the IPTC fields of a new picture DEU and Bayern then suggest the auto complete only München and Nürnberg. Because Dresden, Eisenstadt and so on doesn't fit to the Country "Germany" and the State/Provice "Bayern".
You can see these in Imabas, but there it's not possible to enter new locations in the IPTC Editor. You must create the locations and there dependences in a different editor.
