Last used directory after using XnView for Outlook attachmen

I am using the option "Last used startup directory". But it implies that when I double-click a picture attachment in Outlook and then start XnView "normally", it takes me to a temporary folder where the image from the attachment was temporarily saved.

When I open an image from a file commander, I observe the same behavior.

Is there any way to distinguish between opening XnView in the "standard" way (start menu or desktop shortcut) and from another program so that the last used directory is modified only in the first case?

Thank you in advance for any hints or tips.

In General, try Mode when starting with a file 'Normal'

Thank you very much, changing the Mode from Full screen to Normal solved my problem and everything works now as I wanted.
