Zoom level in Fullscreen buggy?

Scince 1.74/1.50 the following happens:
When using fullscreen and let the picture fit to screen
by typing "/" all following pictures are fit to screen too
until I leave the fullscreen mode (i.e. to the browser.)
Before, I had to type ctrl+/ to make all pictures fit.
(After re-typing ctrl+/ all Pictures used to appear in original size again)
Will there be a bugfix for that or is this definitly a wanted new feature?
Otherwise I would be glad to get a hint from you, how to handle that
problem. Thanks in advance!

I think this is new default behaviour for XnView.
I have my Fullscreen set for "Fit All Images to Screen, Large Only" and I never touch it

In XnView 1.74 the setting "Auto image size" was introduced for full screen, too. You find this setting in Options dialog, category 'View > Fullscreen".
When switching to fullscreen, this setting is not applied. Only when navigating to the next / preview image, the auto image size is applied.
The behaviour sounds a bit buggy, but I think that in most cases it makes sense:
When switching to fullscreen to view an image, it is likely that you want to view it in same Zoom level as in view mode, first. But when viewing several images (presentation), you want the Auto image size applied.

Try
numpad * key for original zoom and/or
ctrl+numpad / for lock zoom...
Edit:
Another mini-bug - if lock zoom is enabled, images are not centred... (
more here)

That's exactly what
not works anymore.
After retyping "ctrl+/ " the zoom for every following (or previous)
image is still locked. Even when I type "*", the next image is in "fit to screen"
mode again until I leave fullscreen.
I reinstalled the previous version (1.70/4.20) now
Even if there are some other (minor) things missing, it was still the best picture-viewer in world to me.
I'm looking towards next update(s).

Thanks for that hint!
But viewing several images (presentation) is, what I'm intended to use XnView for.

Now, I can reproduce this bug. It looks that if I hit '/' key, 'lock zoom' is automatically turned on...
If you don't want leave the fullscreen and you want go back to 'no fit', do this: Hit '*' and then 'ctrl + /'
But if you've got mouse with a wheel, quicker and easier is this: click twice to the middle mouse button (second click must be on image in viewer), or the same with keyboard: twice 'ctrl+F'

As written before, there's a new setting "Auto image size" for full screen. Default is "Same as view mode", which means that the setting for view mode also applies for fullscreen. I guess you have set 'Auto image size' in the options for view mode to something other than 'Fit image to window' which now affects the fullscreen, too.
So:
You can either change the setting for View mode (Options, category 'View') or change it for Fullscreen, only, (Options, category 'View > Fullscreen). Think this will get you to the old behaviour and what you actually want.

No, it doesn't work even if both options are set to 'No fit'

I am sure now. It must be a bug!!!
After hitting "*" and then "/" it seems that everything is o.k. again.
But when I zoom into one of the next/previous pics, the following pics appear in the zoomed size either, still.
Btw. This behaviour can not be reproduced in view-mode, where everything works like in the versions before.
Even if I choose "same as view-mode".
There is a difference between Fullscreen and View-mode...

Thanx Pierre!
You make XNview stay the best picture viewer in world !
I don't understand people using ifan or things like that.
No browsing with details, loads of plugins needed to be
able to convert (batch) or rename...
More easy and intuitive - it can't be.
