[OK] Lock zoom not indicated, locked position

Mini-bug - if lock zoom is enabled, images are not centred...
Also I can't see if lock zoom is enabled or disabled, maybe we need this in the context menu:

Code: Select all

+---+
| /|
|\/ | Lock zoom (enabled)
+---+

Code: Select all

+---+
| |
| | Lock zoom (disabled)
+---+
And same for Fullscreen, it's not sure, it's for leave fullscreen now...

Well spotted, Dreamer: ;-)
Currently, there is the menu item 'Lock zoom' in menu 'View'. When activating it, there is a hook indicating that this option is activated. But this hook never appears in the context menu (both view mode and fullscreen). This is a (small) bug which I confirm.

- Locked position
For some people the locked position (=not centered) is very helpful, since the combination of locked zoom and locked position together allows for comparing two images of same size by navigating back and forth. But for other people the locked position is not so nice. So perhaps there should be sub-setting of Lock zoom:

[x] Also lock position when using Zoom lock

Ok, i'll fix it.

Not centered???
Try this: (in fullscreen, but it's also in viewer)
- zoom image
- (now image is centred)
- lock zoom (ctrl+/)
- go to the next image (page down)
- go to the previous image (page up)
- (now image is not centred)

(I'm not sure what word is right 'centred' or 'centered')

Remains OK

:) Hello !
- I cannot confirm this under Win 98 SE.
- I followed the steps you describe, and the image stays centred { :) U.K. } / centered { :( elsewhere… }

 Kind regards,

I've got Win XP SP1, but I don't think it's important here...

Try zoom larger images and also with default settings...

Can't reproduce the problem :-(

Also with default settings? Strange...

Someone has the same problem?

My initial answer above regarding locked position was wrong: There used to be something like a 'Locked position' when locked zoom was active. Then, when navigating to a new image the same area of the image was displayed as before.

But in XnView 1.74 this is no longer the case: Whenever navigating to an image, the top-left corner of the image is displayed. This happens with or without locked zoom.

Not sure whether you mean this.

Ok, i understand now ;-)
And there is perhaps another problem.
For example, if i have the fit option "large only", i view a little picture so zoom is 100%, i lock the zoom, and view next file. Now this picture is big.
But the zoom becomes 50%, because of the fit option.
Do you think that this is normal?

Right, another Zoom bug.

Think that's a feature which hasn't changed for ages. Do you think that it's better to view the center of an image?
