Adding ICC profiles to images

Many DSLR provide the ability to shoot in other colorspace than sRGB.
However, setting the colorspace to AdobeRGB in the camera ends by only indicating the colorspace in the EXIF values.
Many ICC aware programs only check if an ICC profile is included into the image. With those programs, the EXIF information is not correctly interpreted and the image is displayed as sRGB instead of Adobe RGB.
I would like to be able to add the right ICC profile into the image according the EXIF data without decompressing/recompressing the JPEG data.
Right now, the only program I know that does that correctly is Downloader Pro.
