APNG not fully supported !

The APNG support by XnView doesn't conform totally the specs,
because if one uses the feature “Hide the first frame”, XnView crashes :
AppName: xnview.exe AppVer: 1.92.0.0 ModName: xnview.exe
ModVer: 1.92.0.0 Offset: 000a5f71
- This can be reproduced using a special sample available
HERE.
- I already noticed such a crash even using
GifMovieGear, when the first round is ended, and that XnView comes back to the first frame which must be hidden —>
crash !
- This first hidden frame is added for the old viewers which don't support APNG at all, to be displayed as an ordinary PNG with i.e. the message “Your browser doesn't support APNG”.
That message is displayed prior in XnView, while it shouldn't !
Maybe some codes to check ?

Hello Paul !
• I can
confirm : The programme crashes 100% while in old viewers, only the #1 message-frame is displayed as expected.
…That message is displayed prior in XnView, while it shouldn't !
• Indeed ! That kind of test-file is designed to check wheather a viewer¦browser supports really APNG, isn't it ?

Ok, right!

- That bug is almost fixed in version 1.92. No more crash, and the first frame is hidden alright in View and Browser -> Preview.
- The animation works for the frames from #2 to #n…
- But the thumb nail shows still the unwanted first frame…
- Isn't it possible when the first frame is to be skipped to show the second frame, like i.e. for videos (where the frame #1 is always black) ?

Hello Paul !

- Confirmed !

• Confirmed too, I guess that the second frame should be logical.
• Aside :
- With 32 BPP images and a 16 BPP screen, the thumb nails have a black BG. With a 32 BPP screen, it's OK.
- I wonder why the chequered pattern is not applied there,
while it's set and works in Preview and View with a 16 BPP screen…
