Difficult to Enable Additional File Formats

I'm completely new to XnView. I installed it, because the XnView homepage listed a specific file format (.pse) as supported.
But, once installed, I couldn't find support for this file format. Info, Supported formats didn't list it. Info, Help didn't list it. After checking the homepage again, I downloaded the "Complete" version (didn't see it the first time, as it is hidden at the bottom). Same result with "Complete": no support for this file format.
I had read the Tip of the day saying: "By default only the most common formats are available for loading/saving. If you want to have special formats, also, please visit the options, category "General > Startup"" but didn't understand, what to do, as there is no "General > Startup" tab. It took me an hour fiddling around, until I found the "Display all image file types" check box and support for this file format appeared.
May I suggest, that on XnView homepage, link "Formats", you add some explanation to those file formats, that have to be enabled before they can be used (e. g. "to be supported, Display all image file types has to be checked under Tools, Options)?
May I also suggest that the wording of this specific Tip of the Day be changed to "please visit Tools, Options, General, and check Display all image file types")
Third, you might consider adding information regarding .pse / PSEG3820 file type to the help?
Thanks! Erich
