First thanks Clo for pointing me to the rule giving every subject an own topic I should really have read that! My first suggestion:

Fullscreen Information - Refinements

I was pleased to find a configurabe Fullscreen Info in XNView, however there are some details witch degrades its usability - at least for me. Ill show the problem with this fullscreen info line:

<Filename> <Width>x<Height>x<Bpp> <Focal>mm <Aperture> Iso <ISO> <Shutter>s
(this shows Name, Dimension, Focal Lenght, Aperture, Iso and Shutter Speed)


Note my additions of "x" between the resolutions, "mm", "iso", and so on. A infoline for a picture containing all these infos will display fine, but a picture without these Informations will show an EMPTY Infoline with only these unit indicators. Not so nice. I see 2 solutions, either add the unit to the value by default (I vote for no caps - less disctracting) or allow group indication with brackets to be set optionally:

<Filename> <Width>x<Height>x<Bpp> (<Focal>mm) <Aperture> (Iso <ISO>) (<Shutter>s)

Yes, the round brackets for indicating a unit of variables and text is a good idea, plarry.

I support this request too.

Do not do this now (since v1.94beta1) to hide "mm", "iso" , "s" ... :
<Filename> <Width>x<Height>x<Bpp> (<Focal>mm) <Aperture> (Iso <ISO>) (<Shutter>s)

But this, with:
<Filename> <Width>x<Height>x<Bpp> ((<Focal>mm)) <Aperture> ((Iso <ISO>)) ((<Shutter>s))

It's really useful option, but there is no such an item in the menu of the Insert>> button. It should be there IMHO, otherwise just few users will be using it.

Perhaps "((" might be replaced by the other, single character, what about "["?

No, for the same reason as here (with text mode):

So it' better to use twice character (not only a single) but why not [[ instead (( - IMHO
