Problems opening GIF files on Win98

Hi,
When i open a directory (on win98) for the first time in browser mode with gif files everything works fine. But, when i open that same directory for a second time (when the images are in the cache) some of the gif images are black or in some cases the program crashes.
I have tested the same gifs on win2000 and there i had no problems.
ps: superb program
