trying to create online advertisement box

I am trying to create an online advertisement and need to know how to create a "box" for the ad, then I'll insert photos, graphics, text inside the box. What steps do I take to create that first box? Or, if creating an online ad is not possible through XnView, please let me know that as well. Thank you.

When you say “online advertisement box”, do you mean (animated)
banner ads?

Yes, I'd like to try to use XnView to create banner ads.

You can use XnView to prepare (i.e. resize, crop) the frames for your animation.
For compiling the single images to an
animation (GIF or Flash) you'll need
special software like
Beneton Movie GIF.
