I would like to suggest that the Use checkerboard pattern as background option be moved to the View menu, and also that it be made available as a command for customizing the toolbar.

Is toggling this setting really used that often? If so, it should really have an own menu item and a toolbar button.

White or C.P. ?

:) Hello !

• I miss that command as a button, especially. Very often, I've to change in the Options, that's not handy…

- For instance, I need to view how a current image having transparency looks really on a solid background,
or if it has a white BG (I use it sometimes for icons sources as BMPs), and it's difficult to distinguish
the chequered pattern from pure white with small images.

• Hence, I support. And indeed, a short-cut, to be consistent.
- Lack of the COMMANDS MANAGER still… :|
