:) Hello !

• I tested in the four display modes, XnView doesn't lose the focus and stays on top :
- View –> Displays the next image when the current one is deleted (option ON here)
- Browser –> Ditto.
- Full screen from View –> Ditto
- Full screen in the browser –> Doesn't display the next image, but comes back to thumb nail view when the folder is empty.

• XnView 1.93.1
• XP-Pro SP1 here,
• The [Del] key doesn't send the files in the Recycle Bin, it's configured to delete directly.

I can confirm this bug.

Symptoms: when deleting images in Normal View Mode, XnView sometimes loses focus after an image is deleted, aka if another application is opened in the taskbar, it will automatically be selected, or, if XnView is the only application opened, it will simply get minimized.

OS: Windows Vista x86 SP1
XnView version: 1.93.4

Steps to reproduce:

1. Make sure that Tools - Options - General - Mode when starting with a file - Normal is selected.
2. Open a folder which has some images in it... 10 or 15 I think are enough.
3. Open the first image, then go to the next one using the mouse wheel or the keyboard, delete it, then move on, deleting images at random.

So it's View - Delete - View - View - Delete and so on.

At one point, the XnView window will lose focus in the manner described at the start of the post.

Note: the bug can't be reproduced if the Fullscreen option is used, at least in my working environment.

I can't reproduce :-(
Do you have only the view window? Or browser window too?

I can't confirm this too. Happens after every delete operation.
Normal view, no browser tab.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Dbl click on an image in WindowsExplorer
2. XnView appears in Normal view and no browser tab (no tab bar)
3. Delete this picture (delete key).
4. XnView losses focus
5. Alt-Tab to get focus back to XnView

If I switch to Browser mode and back to view mode (normal) the tab bar appers and XnView does not lose focus on delete (delete key).

Windows Vista SP1
XnView 1.93.6

On my Vista, xnview doesn't loose the focus :-(

Check this topic:

http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?t=15815

Try to close xnview, rename xnview.ini to xnview.ini.bak, run xnview, close xnview, delete the new xnview.ini and rename the old ini back to xnview.ini.

Bump!

I don't care what we have to do or the amount of beta testing this needs fixing!

Bump and temp fix!

Disabling "Go to next image when deleting current" in Options seems to fix it.
