Custom Labels not working with folders

Basically what the subject says. Custom Labels aren't working with folders. I tried at first using <Folder>, the line returned was blank. I did some testing, and it's pretty much the same with others such as <Creation>, <Modified> and even <Filename> (even though non-custom "filename" and "file created date" work). The custom labels do work with images though.

Hope this helps.

Edit: Somehow the word date got removed from <Creation> and <Modified> when I posted.

Yes Folder or unknown file don't use the Labels

Ok so this is the intended behaviour?

In that case, is there a way to have a filename/foldername label only on folders? The folder name is essential for folders because you can't tell what's in them by the thumbnail, whereas image thumbnails tell me everything I need to know.

I know the default behavior for labels is to add a line under the thumbnail, even if that line is blank. In that case, having a label only for folders is counter-productive since it's going to take the same screen space as one for all file types. It would basically be a worse filename label. But, if implemented with an option to show a label line only if there is something to display, you'd save some thumbnail display space and display only the important information. A minimalistic approach, if you want.

Of course, now we enter suggestion territory. It would be nice if you took that into consideration.

Thanks
