Resize image....

I have read the global requests and cannot find my suggestion, which is slight re-think on menu access, regarding 'resize'

The ONLY thing that frustrates me is that image re-size is difficult to access. (or more like not very logical) It took me a long time to find it and found it confusing to use.

i.e. 'batch processing', that term is for programmers not users (I am BOTH!)
Batch processing is basically a 'selection' and working on them.
EG. Selecting a few images and right clicking and select 'rename' is the same, in fact your window title is 'batch rename' ("Multiple rename" would be more user friendly). I also notice that the rename is VERY similar to ACDsee, which is great!!

It IS easy to get used to a program and I am sure you are used to 'batch processing'

I would like to add some comments to Pierre:
THANKS for YOUR HARD work!!!!!

My graphic viewer history:
I started using ACDsee 5!
Then Cam2Pc
Now XNview. (I tried Iranview, but found it too unfriendly)
I started using XNview for ONE main reason: I LOVE the auto switching of the portrait/ landscape orientation. Also like use of 'favourites'

I found XNview via this web page: http://www.techsupportalert.com/best_46 ... ies.htm#20

I have to say, I really like XNview and will continue to use it and recommend it to my friends and family. AND install it on any computers I rebuild! :)

I am still confused, I searched and got more confused.

Anyway I am happy as I will use the batch proccessor for this and this alone! So settings will be retained.

I was simply pointing out that there is a simple, common process that is a bit more complex than it needs to be. (mixed in with computer jargon)

Thanks VERY much for your time and reply. I DO know how much time it takes to develop a program as complex and flexible as this and it must be VERY difficult with so many users with their OWN ideas and agendas.

If I were Pierre, I would do what I (he) wanted/ needed and listen to ideas and see if they matched Pierre's own idea's!

So you think that "multiple processing" will be better?
And resize is in view mode too

WOW, I feel privileged!!

1. Yes, I think a 'first time user' would understand better if
"Batch Processing" is replaced by "Multiple Image processing" (except when ONE image is selected, but that is really picky!")
Also "Batch rename" replaced by "Rename selected images"

2. I think that 'resize' is a very common option to use, along with 'rotate left or right'. Maybe add it to the 'file operations' button as well as a 'right click', as it IS a 'file operatiion'

Maybe you would be best to confirm with other users regarding my suggestions. It is VERY easy to get used to using a program and then never get round to making it easier for first time users.... like me!

As I said before Pierre, you must fit in most changes which would make XNview easier to use for YOU! (I assume you use it?! and using the French language!) :)

XNview is quite amazing, I WILL be converting quite a few of my friends.
