Selecting images!

By chance I was posting as a guest. Since there were no reply let me repost the topic.
---
Like many other I usually download photos (from the camera) and then I select them.
The selection of an image is about to delete it (very easy with "del" key) or to move the current image in another directory.
Is possible to program a key/function key to perform this action? Or is possible to program a key to launch a generic .bat with image filename as input?

I don't understand, you want a key to delete a file in XnView?

No, this already exist! ("del" key)
I was asking if there is a way to press a key and launch a ".bat" file with the imagefilename as parameter.
The actual objective is to move (with one key) the current viewed image from the current directory to another directory (even the parent one ".." would be ok). And go to process the next image!

So why you don't use the 'copy to'/'move to' Alt+Ctrl+C/M & option/general/File operations
I know, it's 3 keys

Good to see that your issue is solved.
I've answered your initial "guest" post and then later saw this topic, so I have placed your initial post and my answer here, see below. My answer is surely wrong, but might be interesting anyway.

The selection of an image is about to move the current image in another directory (maybe to parent ".." if I create a subdirectory "to select"). What is remaining in the folder is unselected.

I don't quite understand what you want to achieve, but try to provide an answer:
You can use "Tags" to mark multiple images and then apply a specific function (e.g. copying them) into another directory.
A quickly written up "How to use tagging":
- Tagging is activated using "View > Tag > Show Tag box". Once activated there will be a small checkbox at the top of each thumbnail for indicating the state of the tag (tagged/not tagged)
- A specific file can be tagged by clicking on the small checkbox or by pressing "B" key.
- By default, tagging is automatically cleared when changing folder. This default behaviour can be changed in options "Tools > Options > Browser > Thumbnails > Icon Info > Tagged files must be cleared after:". For example the setting "Never" is useful for those users who want to keep images tagged and only untag them manually.

"B" key doesn't work at all here.

Is it in the Help?
The correct hotkeys (to tag/invert a file) are Insert, Ctrl+T and Space (working only in Browser).

Sorry, a typo. I meant "T", but found that "T" works in fullscreen, only. In all places
Ctrl+T does tag and untag the images.
Good that you have spotted this, Dreamer.
