tiff problem

Hi!
XnView seems to have a problem writing tiff files correctly.
After opening a freshly written tiff with the GIMP to modify it a little, GIMP prompted me with an error report window saying "invalid tiff directory; tags are not sorted in ascending order", "unknown field with tag 317 (0x13d) encountered", and finally saying "too many errors, report continued in standard error output".
After opening and re-saving just the same file with IrfanView and then opening it with the GIMP, no error reports were prompted any more.
I can provide a sample file and a screenshot of the GIMP's error report window via email or upload it somewhere if requested.
