progress bar on slideshow (.exe/.scr) generation

When generating a slide show (.exe or .scr), there is no feedback as to progress. This is fine for a small number of low res images, but if one makes a slideshow with many (100's) of 5-10 megapixel images, a lot of users seem to think XnView has timed out . . .
