Printer: "configuration" and "selection"

To my mind a behaviour which could be improved - the interaction between printer configuration and selection:

Example A:
- I used printer A or the last print, the name is displayed.
- If I want to use printer B and (!) know that I have to configure it I want to selct "Configuration - select printer - configure it - OK".
- But this does not work, because the changing of printer in configuration is not accepted. If I go back to print-menu I have still printer A.
- So I have to "select printer B - start configuration - ignore printer selection in that dialogue".

Example B:
- I have printer C as standard-printer, but I printed my last file with printer B.
- Now I want to configure printer B and change paper-size.
- I press "Configuration" - but I can not configure my printer B, because the standardprinter C appears in the dialogue.

Do you have always this problem in 1.95.4?

a)
It is interesting - I have 6 Printers in my configuration (2 x HP, PDFCreator, Generic Post Script, Epson Stylus and Microsoft Office Document Image Writer) - and five don't show this behaviour any more, but only the MS Document .... reacts as before.

b)
It would be fine if the last used printer (configuration) will be save in the ini-file, because many users want to work with their "own XnView printer configuration" and not with the standard printer.

c)
The "Printer configuration" appears only after pressing the "configuration-button". What's about integrating the feature (papersource, paper orientation) into the XnView Print menu?

Merry Christmas
