Hello,

It would be great if xnview could convert colorspace using ICC profile during batch convert process. Maybe it could be implemented as an effect ?

The use is to prepare images for online printing (eg: sRGB to online lab ICC profile)

Many thanks for this great piece of software !

Thank you so much to have enabled ICC conservation upon conversion!
eg. I finally can convert images without worrying about the ICC to get lost...

I want to suggest something I did not notice before:

ICC profile, if different from sRGB, is kept ONLY if the ICC convert transformation is applied, and the input and output fields are let BLANK, which is counterintuitive!

I mean... wouldn't it be better to make ICC preservation the default behavior so that we add the ICC conversion transformation only if we really want to convert from one profile to another?

If someone uses some different filter than sRGB, he will probably always want his ICC profile to be kept when he converts his pictures, and only-sRGB users shouldn't care to have that feature permanently enabled.

Or at least have that feature enabled by default for users who chose to have ICC management enabled in the general preferences (would be most logical).

what do you think? Am I the only one to have this?

Could you send me a sample? and tell me what you apply?

Thank you very much Pierre!
Now ICC profile is kept by default in every conversion!
Hooray!

I'm confused. I did the tests with jpegs and jpeg2000 also, and it also worked for jpeg2000s in the beginning.

ICC profile/correct colors are not kept for jpeg2000s with a normal conversion, but are kept if you use a blank/empty ICC conversion transformation.

So if they're kept when using this transformation, why not making it by default also for jp2s?

XnView can't save ICC in jpeg2k

OK, but why then are the colors displayed correctly in converted files when using a blank ICC conversion transformation?

If you add an empty 'ICC convert', the embedded ICC profile is readed, and output profile is sRGB
