Fullscreen mode instead windowed mode without f11 pressing

Can I set fullscreen mode as primary mode instead of windowed mode, without pressing F11? I stopped using ACDSEE and this is problem for me, I don't need window mode (maybe as secondary for seldom using). And further - why is necessary to press Enter 2x to return from fullscreen mode - first to window, second to browser - I'd like to return directly to browser. I think that this all was possible in some very old version.

It's still possible in the latest version, try these options:
Options > General > Operations > Mode when starting with a file > Fullscreen Browser
Options > General > Keyboard/Mouse > Switching modes > Use Enter.. > Browser <> Fullscreen | Viewer <> Fullscreen
However, it will be the 'browser' fullscreen, some features are not available there (crop for example) - more
here.
Option "Browser <> Fullscreen Edit | Viewer <> Fullscreen Edit" would help you probably.

I'm also having some problems with the viewer / fullscreen...
I have set xnview so that I switch between browser and fullscreen with enter-key. Works fine until I select multiple files and hit 'enter'. Then it jumps to viewer mode. Is this intended behaviour? And if it is can I chance it?

Looks like a bug.

This bug has been fixed in the latest beta version.

Confirmed the original bug is fixed, but the fullscreen viewing is not restricted to the selected files only (as it probably should be), all files in the current folder can be viewed.

It was like that in 1.95?

No. I guess the "browser fullscreen" doesn't support viewing the restricted selection. It's fine with me.

No, you means that 1.95 & 1.96 has the same behavior?

Well 1.95 obviously has this bug with Switching modes, but when using F11 the behavior is the same in 1.95 & 1.96.

I was missing the ability to switch directly to fullscreen viewer until I found the solution here. However, it does bypass your selection when you switch the behaviour to this, and I for one miss this.
