Floyd-Steinberg dithering for color depth in batch converter

When reducing color depth with the batch converter, it only has a check-box for dithering, which happens to be bayer dithering. This is a major problem because using bayer on mostly grey-colored things (like manga) turns it purple for me, unlike floyd-steinberg. (I realize I could just convert to greys which uses floyd-steinberg but then the colored covers will be grey)
Also, is there a way to make batch convert profiles keep the selected output file format?
