A few Mezich-like icons

I spent a little time yesterday making some icons to use in XnView. Since I'm a real fan of the Mezich skin, I modified those icons in order to keep a consistent look in the toolbar:

Image

1. Compare
2. Import Clipboard
3. Redo
4. Save
5. Toggle Grid

These are 256 color icons, 24x24.

Right-click HERE and select "Save link as" or "Save target as" to download an icl file containing the icons.

I'll probably do a few more as time passes.

Nice icons, John. :-)

I think if possible, we should leave the design job in Mezich Design Office's hands. Pierre, could you please contact Mezich Design Office (again) and ask what can be done about the toolbar? Is it o.k. for them if other designer's create icons in the same style and the icons are included in the Mezich skin?

@John: Would you agree if your icons above were included in the Mezich skin?

OK by me.

I debated asking permission to post these, then thought doing so might actually force the topic somewhat.

It's very fine that you have drafted the icons and intend them to provide these, John.

Still we should make sure that the original designer are kept informed and involved. Last not least we need the agreement to combine icons into a skin that is already there by both the author of the new icons (you, John) and the original author(s).

O.k., good. Please keep us informed that designers know what they can do.

Yes, a toggle grid button would be useful.

Yes, a toggle grid button would be useful.
I believe mezich has done that already.

Something new with the additional "Mezich" and "Mezich-Style" icons?

It seems that the download package does not include them and they are missing ... (or am I wrong?)

Hi Pierre...

I like the second of the two Compare images best. That first Compare icon looks too much like Brunhilde's brassiere.

The others look great!

Actually, that question mark in the "Save" icon implies that the user will be requested to decide something (filename).

So, in my mind, the current disk icon (without the question mark) should be reassigned to "Save", and the new icon (with the question mark) should be assigned to "Save As".

The second image looks like an "exchange" or "replace" command. I prefer the first one ..

Brunhilde? Or Pamela?
If it is reduced from size DD to B it would be nice ...

Support.

Well, to be honest, I prefer my Compare icon to either of those... 8)
