XMP commands inactive and not available

First of all compliments for your great work!

Then the question: in the version 1.94 among the news, I find:

* 'Keep XMP' option
* 'Update XMP' in IPTC dialog
* 'Rebuild XMP' & 'XMP to IPTC'

well, I find these commands, but they are always inactive: is it possible use these features or not?

I use Lightroom for my photo-archive and iptc data are stored in xmp files, but, at the same time, I use other application developing my images...so I really need to syncronize xmp and iptc...

Thank's in advance!

Luciano

Pierre,

I wasn't aware of such an add-on,
but where can I find this XMP add-on ??

Please have a look at topics
- Addons/Plugins/...
- Let's talk about Plug-Ins

EDIT:
The above topics should help when searching for xmp.dll but in fact they don't (I couldn't find xmp.dll myself). :-|

You have it in the complete package

Hmm, until now I had thought that the minimal or standard version could be completed with the Addons and Plug-Ins of the download page. Shouldn't it possible to download any Add-on / Plug-In?

OK, I now have the XMP.DLL as an add-on,
and now I have also the option to
"build IPTC from XMP" available.
However if I apply this option to a JPG file containing XMP-data
xnview crashes immediately.
I tried this with other JPG images but they all seem to behave this way.
If the JPG doesn't contain XMP data then the "build" option does nothing.

I use xnview 1.94.2 on a Windows XP system, if that matters.

Ok Pierre, now I find it...but unfortunely I have the same behaviour of rra:

If you want, I can send you 2+2 files (low reaolution .jpg and their .xmp):
a mail address?

Thank's for all...

Ok, i understand the problem now. The XMP is not in the picture file, but as a companion file...
XMP is updated in picture file.
