Recognize DLLs with other extensions…

:) Good morning,

• Already suggested ages ago, I guess, but I couldn't find out the old topic…

• The Total Commander Plug-ins are in fact DLLs with four different extensions :
*.WCX (packers)
*.WFX (to access other file-systems and more)
*.WLX (for Lister)
*.WDX (contents, for sorting¦info custom columns)
• Some ones contain icons, and it's convenient to use XnView to get a quick view of these icons,
or simply to know if there is any…

:| Alas, currently the files are not recognized, even stating them in the Options >> File List.
But still, “Recognize only by extension” is disabled… but the headers are not parsed.

• I suggest to create i.e. an INI entry like :
FileIsDll=WCX WFX WLX WDX
• Let's notice that there is a lot of DLL having some custom extensions in many programmes,
for instance in Speed Commander *.ZZL (DLLs for creation of SFX archives…).

• What do you think ?

:) Hello !

• Ah ! Thanks ! I think that these threads might be merged (but there is no Merge feature here…)
- Anyway, I notice the old URLs… ;)
• What about the topic itself and an eventual INI entry ? :D
