"History of viewed images" idea

XnView shows a history of the viewed folders in the browser mini-toolbar dropdown. This is very useful!
One can also see/open the recent 10 files that have been viewed by navigating to them from Files->Recent Files. This is helpful, but visually restrictive since some of us
can rarely remember the filenames of the images we work with.
It would be great if one could also see the history of viewed files as thumbnails. A good way to do this might be to show the history in the Browser File List/thumbs panel.
My idea is a new XnView "automatic" category called "Viewing history". This category would behave like any other category except that XnView would continually (and automatically) update its contents.
Some options that might apply to the "Viewing history" category could be:
- Toggle "keep history between XnView sessions"
- Clear history
- Clear history > (n) days old (On startup|On close|Now)
- Limit history to (n) files
- Save history to category: _____
This would be very helpful!
