Change timestamp affect selected files in the sort order?

How about make the "change timestamp" function affect selected files in the browser's current sort order?
That way, when we change timestamps of selected files to current time for alphabetically sorted files, the files will still be listed in the same sequence when we switch to timestamp sorting. Currently, the "change timestamp" function doesn't always affect selected files in the browser's current sort order.
