B2: Clicking on image creates small selection

When clicking on an image, a small selection is created. This selection is harmless, but now there's no more simple way to deselect all.
This really should be fixed in the final.

Bug Confirmed but right-clicking -> "Select None" is easy enough.
1×1…

• Hi !
• Confirmeds too, I checked blowing up the image ×16 : It's 1² pixel, that normally was impossible to get formerly…
… and removing it via a menu-entry which has no shortcut sucks.
• A 1² selection could be useful, though, and IIRC had been requested.
- In
GFIE, there is a special “Pencil Selection” to get that…

Confirmed. Minor annoyance, though.

I disagree and don't think that this is a minor issue:
E.g. you happen to click on the image and then use one of the filters: The filter will be applied to the 1x1 pixel selection, only, and users will ask themselves, why the filter no longer works.

Do you mean the right click on image in viewer? Then it's a very old bug.
...Oh, I see now, selection is created for the button with option "make a selection", I use right buton for it.
Anyway, confirmed.

Annoying…

• Hi !
• I agree that it's very annoying. For instance, just a click anywhere makes that unwanted selection,
it enables the “Crop” button, that I don't wish at all…

Still not fixed here (v1.95.3), strange.
Re-opened.
