1.95 b2: Canvas BG colour broken

Hello !
• In 1.95 ß2, whatever colour is already set or chosen from the “Canvas Size” dialogue, the added area is
black.
- The right colour is shown on the control, but not applied.
• Aside (I guess it's the same bug, so I don't post as separate),
the custom colours are no longer saved in the Win palette…

It is a bug already existing in 1.94.

Again…
• The issue is real here, like you can see on
THAT VIDEO.
• To enlarge canvas I'd to use the old 1.82.4 where that works perfectly…

The canvas color assignment works correctly on my system in beta 2.
However, I can confirm that custom colors are no longer saved into the custom color palette.
This is a rather significant issue for me which I hope will be fixed soon?

Hello John !
• This occurs with all "Left" positions of the original area on the enlarged canvas, while you enlarge the width
only.

Still in 1.95.2

Hello
I still have the problem in 1.95.2.
I use a PNG / increase width / not proportional / middle right / white background -> and get a black background.
Edit: I always get a black background, no matter which position or which colour is selected.

8 BPP issue---

Hello Peter !
• I can reproduce the bug with your sample, enlarging proportionally - centred :
The added area is black, right.
- However, I noticed that this image is a
8 BPP one, so I converted a copy into 24 BPP and there is no bug…

- Same issue when I test with a PNG of mine converted into 8 BPP prior, the made additions are black, BUT
¤ There is no bug with the same file (mine) saved as BMP or GIF 8 BPP…
(funny side : Using "Undo" with the file converted into GIF, I got a fake “24 BPP” GIF !
Actually, that's possible, it's planned in the original specs, I've a sample from the forum.)

Is this problem resolved in 1.95 final?
