Change timestamp to EXIF date does not work for CR2

Though EXIF data for Canons CR2 files is displayed correctly in properties menue, it is not possible to set the file date to this EXIF timestamp

yes currently you can't change exif in camera raw

But the question here is not to change the EXIF information inside the file but to set the file date of CR2 file from EXIF informations. As the EXIF data can be read out like from JPG files, it may be not so difficult to set the file creation and change time in windows to the timestamp of shooting?

No, I can't.
I do the same as for JPG where it works:
Mark image
Tools->Change Timestamp...
Mark "File Date created","File Date modified"
Choose: "EXIF: Date taken" or "EXIF:Date modified"
Now as prevue on "File Date created" and "File Date modified" I see the current date and GMT time. And if I click to "Apply" I get current date and GMT time as file created and mofdified date in Windows.
When I use "Current date and time" as selection for timestamp I get current date and local time (not GMT).

The problem is fixed now! I've tried 1.96 beta2.
