Hello,

If i click the "Search" toolbar button, the dialog opens but pressing the Esc key does not exit it until I give focus to any item in the dialog.

If I click the "About" toolbar button, the dialog opens but pressing the Esc key does not exit it until I give focus to the textarea box.

Regards.

:) Hello !
If i click the "Search" toolbar button, the dialog opens but pressing the Esc key does not exit it until I give focus to any item in the dialog.
• I checked here, both in French and in English (could be different…), that works as expected,
I can close the dialogue via [Esc] without giving the focus to any control…
- Indeed, the title-bar of that box is shown as “Active”, thus it's not surprising…
- Please, verify whether you have the title-bar “Active” too when opening the box. :?
…If I click the "About" toolbar button, the dialog opens but pressing the Esc key does not exit it until I give focus to the textarea box.
- Hm… I wouldn't swear to it, but I guess it's by design (IIRC).
- You can close the “About…” dialogue via a single LMB click anywhere on its area ;)

 Kind regards,
Claude

Yes, the title-bar is Active. I am on Windows 2000 sp4 fully updated.

:) Again…
Yes, the title-bar is Active. I am on Windows 2000 sp4 fully updated.
• Ah ! Hence it could be OS-related, since here I've Win XP-Pro SP1…
- So, wait & see whether some users under Win 2K get the issue…
- Such minor snags are reported from time to time using Win 2K…
