display values when auto correcting

i noticed this in playing with auto-levels but i think it would
be useful for anything that has an 'auto' button.

when applying an auto correction, like auto-levels, it would be
very helpful to display the values that xnview is applying
to the image. that way, if it's something we like, we could use
those values in a batch process or in nconvert.

it would make xnview a helpful tool for deriving settings to be
used with either further xnview processing, or processing in
nconvert.

thanks,

Are not the values of auto-levels and auto-contrast individual for each and every image? If so, the values of one image will not be good for the next - the next image will need its own auto-correction in order to give the best result.

If the images are very similar it might work?

Can you explain how do you apply auto levels transformation?

I know how Photoshop does it because it is explained at its help. They cut the histogram at the tails by 0.5% of the values previous to the expansion. Are you making any of this? It is important to me to know if I will loos some values if I apply auto-levels and how many.

Congratulations for your work!
Yes i cut histogram too

one of the things i do is to shoot timelapse images. for this type of work
i want to apply a single setting to all of the images in a sequence.

i pick a representative frame and derive settings from it. often times
the auto settings look very good and i'd like to apply them but don't
know what they are.
