adding images/folders to slideshow

It would be great to have a additional ways to add images or folders to slideshows.

Two options I think you should consider:

1. context menu (right-click an image or folder) option: "add to slideshow" -- this would add the files to a slideshow even before opening the slideshow dialog.

2. drag and drop to the slideshow dialog -- navigating complex directory trees in the "add" or "add folder" options can be a real pain when XnView has such a good browser.

Obviously option 2 requires changing the modality of the slideshow dialog. This upgrade, however, would add significant power to the slideshow features and allow other options in the future.

Thanks for continuing this great project!

Sounds a bit like the suggested image basket.

True, and thanks for pointing it out.

Alas, that thread has had no contributions for more than 2 years . . .

I think an image basket may be planned for XnView MP.

Image baskets are a very efficient ad hoc file management paradigm. The key is a GUI connection between an image basket and some form of permanent data assignment activity (basket contents to a category, album, flag, star, whatever)...
