Hi!
It appears a bug was found with TIFF images and preview functionality:
I use MS Windows Remote Desktop Connection with 8 bit color option (for slow connections). When I click right button on TIFF image my explorer.exe process crashes. This does not reproduce with e.g. JPGs.
I think something is wrong with XnView Preview feature.

I tested this case using RDP 32 bit color mode - nothing bad happens and everything works great.

PS not only right click leads to explorer.exe crash - even <Shift> + <Delete> :D

I did not test the behaviour when XnView is removed from system. But I think XnView is the only application which works with screen output besides windows. :D

You means the XnView Shell Extension? Could you try without?

Yes! I mean it.

With XnView Shell Exception disabled explorer.exe process continues working without crashes if 8 bit color mode of MS Windows Remote Desktop Connection is used.

So, the problem is with XnView Shell Exception.

But for me explorer only crashes with TIFF files.

Yes! I mean it.

If XnView Shell Extesion is disabled the explorer.exe process continues working without crashes if 8 bit color mode of MS Windows Remote Desktop Connection is used.

So, the problem is with XnView Shell Extension.
