CMYK colors are shown wrong

Hello,

if images are in CMYK instead RGB, than the images are shown with a colorshift at XnView. Could be nice, if both versions of an image, CMYK and RGB would be shown in the same colors, like visible f. ex. at Photoshop.

Also it could be nice, if the XnView bottom edge info would show that it is a CMYK image - "true color RGB" and "true color CMYK" could be great.

Ciao,
Micha

I guess it doesn't properly support ICC color profiles actually,
and so XnView handles color space not like PS.

I recently purchased XnView and having the same issue when there is very noticeable difference in colors between CS6 and Xn.
Unfortunately I wasn't able to find color profiles on Xn (or- they simply are not present) what make printing from Xn impossible.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

  1. Download cmyk.zip and extract cmyk.icm from the archive.
  2. Start XnView and go to Tools » Options... » General » ICC.
  3. Activate Use ICC Embedded Profile (JPEG/TIFF) - Very slow.
  4. Set the Default CMYK color profile to Other and enter the path to cmyk.icm in the corresponding field.
