I'm using Xnview since half a year for the extinction of any metadata on jpg.
Since then I'm trying to find a possibilty to use "user defined" filters.
Sorry I'm a blockhead. I cant find the "how to define a filter"
I only find the "use"button.
I did't find something useful via "search" either.
So please help a silly blockhead.

A dialog window titled “Benutzerdefinierter Filter” (“User Filter”) should pop up, when you click on
Benutzerdefiniert... in the
Filter menu:
All user-defined filters are saved in a text file (
%ProgramFiles%\XnView\Filters\udf-def.dat):
Code: Select all
# XnView UDF v1.0 (do not edit)
average 3 | 3 1 0 | 1x9
average 5 | 5 25 0 | 1x25
blur | 3 16 0 | 1 2 1 2 4 2 1 2 1
emboss | 3 1 128 | -1 0x7 -1

Nothing happens
could this be a result of my paranoitic defensive system settings?
What have I to allow?
This should be an "inside" problem no "outside" ala Microsoft with all borders goin' down.

Well, you need to have
read and write permissions for
udf-def.dat.
