:) Hello ! Welcome aboard !

• I can confirm ! :bugconfirmed: I placed the file alone in a separate sub-dir., and when switching to the Browser,

 OUCH !

Thanks for the warm welcome! :D

I have encounter similar crashes over the past with other images (and with many previous versions of xnview) but this time I was determined to narrow it down to the specific image that causes the problem, for helping identify it.

No even able to save

:) Again…

• To complete the test, I attempted simply to save the image
(a copy also alone in a folder, checked : No virus but who knows ?),
after a 3…4-second delay, I got a crash with the lovely usual Bill's message :
AppName: xnview.exe AppVer: 1.95.0.0 ModName: xnview.exe
ModVer: 1.95.0.0 Offset: 00008f56
• Maybe this could help Pierre
{joke}IMO, XnView is “disturbed” by the very pretty young woman on that photo ! :P {/joke}

I have tons of pictures of a young very pretty woman (my wife) and XnView never crashes like this. Maybe it is the guy...

Could you send me by PM your email to send you a test version?

The 1.95.5 version seems to work fine.

Neither this jpeg nor the animated gif posted in another topic caused a crash.

I tested also with some folders with thousands of images.

So far so good!

But :( I did found another crash with a PDF file this time.

The crash reportes

The crash occurs when xnview tries to create the thumbnail.

The file works fine otherwise.
It's only 3.76MB and I uploaded to rapidshare for anyone who wish to try it.

http://rapidshare.com/files/175764542/T ... k.pdf.html

I don't have a premium rapidshare account so it says it can be only downloaded only 10 times.
If more people wish to try it I puit it again somewhere else or send it to you.

Do you use AFPL or GPL ghostscript? And which version?

Posted: Mon Dec 22, 2008 5:21 pm
by BigPoulos
I seems to me that I have ghostscript version 8.54 installed, because I found a path
C:\Program Files\gs\gs8.54
in my computer.

Goodnews
I just found that the current version is 8.63 I tested it and itsn't hangs anymore!
