cache jpg can be high/low qual, but what exactly is the % setting here?
Low really is low, but high is 10-15kb / thumb at 200x200px
I had a 200mb cache!
Can there be a 'medium' setting?
changing high/low with non-empty cache will crash xnview.

I use 50 & 75, perhaps 60 & 75 will be better?

I just did some tests. I have lots of pics (12.000), 192x144 thumbnails, and my cache had been 800 MB. I changed from Lossless to Lossy (High Quality). There is no visible difference but the cache decreased to 200 MB.

Pierre, it would be nice to see the total number of cached files, not only cache file size in the cache dialog.

And as there are still files missing in my cache, I also would like to see the 60% option.

I think 50/75 is good. I use XnView on an USB-stick and want the cache to be as small as possible. Lossy (low qty) is good, could even be slighty lower to save disc space.

Hmm. 50 & 75 seem reasonable.
Is there an issue with large cache, 200mb+? Will it make it slower?

Maybe you could have 3 settings
40, 60, 75?

there was a bug, sometimes changing high/low qual, with existing cache it would crash, not 100% tho. Is it fixed?
