Steps to reproduce...
- set Enter keyo to "browser>viewer>fullscreen"
- disable cache
- go to folder with many images
- select the first image while thumbnails are creating (quickly)
- now quickly press Enter few times
= crash
The crash is ONLY with the first image in folder, never with the other!
Windows Vista SP1, XnView 1.96 beta 1.

Confirmed

Nice find. I had this crash couple times, but I could't find the cause of it. I thought it was a problem with specific file.
I can also reproduce the crash in View mode, by quickly changing between the first image and some other image. E.g. With Home and End buttons.
Worse here

Hello !
•

I get the bug even simply opening a JPG from the reopen list, or when no crash there,
then with Enter¦Double-click to get the browser :
AppName: xnview.exe AppVer: 1.96.0.0 ModName: xnview.exe
ModVer: 1.96.0.0 Offset: 000dbaa2

This makes the programme almost ususable, it occurs also
(randomly) from a button in TC for the image-file under the cursor…

Could you send me your email to send a test version for the crash problem?
