Highlite Overexposed Areas

Hi,

i have searched, but could not find some Solutions. So I'll ask:

I have this wonderful WIFI SD CArd from http://www.eye.fi/ - It puts new Pictures directly into a folder on the PC.

So my Question is:

When a new Picture pops into that folder and having Xnview open and browsing that folder, it shows the most recent file automatically when it pops in. Fine up to now. Would it be possible to highlight the over exposed parts in that jpeg on the screen and let it blink like some cameras do it on the build in screen?

With this feature one can shoot, transfer the jpeg wireless to the pc and see the bigger picture on the screen even with an overexposure warning.

Thanks

Markus

Of course it is possible to implement such a behavior, but your request for it has to get into the queue with the many many other requests already posted here.

sure.

if it would make it's way into xnview would be ideal for all studio shootings to preview first results on a big screen while shooting

Maybe someone knows an other software which can do it already.

Though it doesn't exhibit the behavior you are looking for, Adobe Lightroom will highlight the "limit" pixels for both lights and darks. It even provides warning symbols for them in the histogram.

Not sure if this helps you, but JPG-Illuminator (freeware, german only) shows a histogramm and has a button beside it to show under- and overexposed parts within the pic. Works very good. A feature like this (at least manually triggered) should be easy to add to XnView...or maybe it can do this already and I just don't know how...

That looks like a good tool. Anyone know of a PDF translator software?

I didn't know Google could do that!

Thanks once again, XnTriq

Hi.
How could I check if this feature is in XnViewMP roadmap?
Thanks!
