when you open the video for full-screen, and then press enter to go back to the browser, the movie is still playing in the background, and you can hear the sound
and then crashes
or if you open the preview window, it crashes
every time it crashes

XnView version
OS and service pack
Type of Video file, AVI, MPG, MOV, etc.

Also, if it's a AVI container do you know which codec it requires?

Try disabling "Auto play for Video/Audio" in Options\Browser\Preview and see if that fixes it.
