I have recently replace ACDSee with XnView and think its a wonderful program, the only suggestion I have is that the zoom settings button on the toolbar actually change the default zoom. In my case when I am viewing normal pictures I like to use fit to window but when I read comic book scans I like to have fit to width set and its a pain to have to go into the options window every time I want to change the default zoom.

Hello ! Welcome aboard !
• That you need has nothing to do with the Zoom…
- You can add buttons on the tool-bar to change the “
Fit_whatever” on the spot…
- Please, have a glance
HERE

Thank you for the welcome, I took a look at the link you posted and after going through the command list and none of the "Fit to" zoom options seem to be available. Also by just adding a the buttons to the toolbar that wouldn't set the default Zoom/display would it? I may be missing something though I am rather new to XnView.
Thank you for your help.

Again…
• Ah… Sorry, it seems that you are right, these commands exist only from Menus,
and might be available easily when needed.
- Moreover, this kind of drop-down list in the buttons settings is a pain in the neck
- too narrow, and partially truncated…
• Ages ago, I started a thread about a
DECENT COMMANDS MANAGER but alas, nothing in that way yet…
- Being also a Total Commander user (and more…), I think always that all internal commands are usable as buttons, that's true in TC, but not in XnView, unfortunately…
