XnView crashs when reading IPTC data in Batch Rename (CR2)

I am using Geosetter to set the GPS in Exif and the location in IPTC of my Canon RAW files (CR2). Once saved, the data are perfecly read by other tools (Exiftool, DPP, etc)
Unfortunately, Xnview 1.96 seems to have pb to handle them.
1) in Properties / IPTC, the city does not appear
2) in batch rename, when I want to insert <IPTC:city> (and sometimes <IPTC:location>), Xnview cause a memory exeption error ("memory could not be read")
Tested under XP SP3.

The pb seems to be limited to some file types: I've only tested CR2 files (crash) and JPG (no crash, rename ok, city shown in properties)

I've just uploaded a file here
Actually, Xnview does not always crash, and never only in one file, but when many are selected and in particular when the first and the last of a directory is selected for the batch rename. Just reproduced with 10 copies of this file in a single dir.
Anyway, the "city" never appears in the info.
Note that GPS and location Info are not only in EXIF and IPTC but also in XMP.

What do you use as filename template?

<Date Taken [Ymd_H-M-S]>_<IPTC:City>

I've tagged many cr2 files with iptc data (using geotagger/exiftool), and used batch rename in 1.96.1. It works fine for many pictures, but not for all. It seems that when the iptc caption is set, perhaps due to particular characters (should be in UTF-8), the IPTC data are not read anymore in the file.
I've uploaded a sample here

If i use <IPTC:Caption Writer> as template, all is ok with your file...

yes, but the file contains many further iptc tags that are not visible in Xnview!
