Hi,
is possible to preview a image on a folder like if you are using xnview's explorer? Maybe I have to activate an option?

And, why not the two images are equal? The images are .ppm

Thanks!

You want to view the files in browser as icons instead of thumbnails? If so, there's abutton in the small tool bar to change the view mode and you can also change it from the view menu (View -> View As -> Icons).

The squares don't show in the thumbnails because of the default resample method used to resize the thumbnails. You may want to enable high quality thumbnails from the options dialog (Tools menu -> Options -> Thumbnails -> Use high quality).

On Microsoft's browser the files are viewed as icons, and xnview's browser as thumbnails, then, is possible to view the files (on microsoft browser) as thumbnails?

(sorry, my english is poor)

Thanks!

am I the only one to understand that he wants the thumbnails in windows explorer ?

JoniJnm as far as I know there isn't much you can do about that.

after all, isn't it one of the main purpose of xnview browser ? (I'm not sure why I would need xnview browser if I had thumbnail in explorer)
(I never understood why ms didn't provide a proper plug-in api for explorer thumbnails)

Windows Explorer can show thumbnails with "View > Thumbnails" (Ver > Vistas en miniatura). But Windows Explorer supports common file formats like JPG, BMP, GIF, TIF, and some more, only. PPM is definetely not supported by Windows Explorer, this is why you see the icon, only.

(Hope this helps to understand things better).

Hmm, your answer does not make much sense to me. Just to make sure: Windows Explorer is NOT the XnView Browser. The XnView Browser can display all kind of format, i.e. all formats listed in the list of supported formats.

Photoshop can install an extension (?) that allows thumbnails for other formats in Windows Explorer. Adobe reader does that for PDF files.

Ah, o.k.. A neat feature enhancement for Windows Explorer. Perhaps something XnView could also do/provide?

I never tried that one, but MysticThumbs is one that can't be missed.(with 64 bit support !)
