After the implementation of my suggestion
http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.p ... 95&start=0
it could be extended:
Write a comment to XBS via XnView.
There should be at least a comment-line like
Code: Select all
"Saved by %USERNAME% at %current date/time%"
Then should be an option which asks for a user-defined comment, written in a small text-edit box and saved as a header of the XBS file.
What to you think about it?
Peter

Hello Pierre
I mean that a script file like XBS is like a program-code. And in a code-file it is important to place comments at the beginning (and in the flow ..) of the file to make it easier to understand for users (and for myself after a year).
So I want to suggest a new feature when saving and loading the XBS file:
- When saving the file the software should ask with an edit box: "To you want to place a comment at the header of the file?" Then the user can write "Made by Peter, 27.7.2009. File for rotating, aligning, scaling and converting JPEG of Nikon cameras to 2 bit bitmap."
- When selecting or loading an existing file, this comment should be displayed near the name of the script (example: selecting a printer in Acrobat displays also comments like place of printer, comments ..)
I hope it is clearer now.
Regards
Peter
