[OK] RC1: Important issues

Thank you all for the good feedback on the 1.80 RC1! About 100 posts regarding the RC1 have been written in the first 24 hours, that's impressive. 
Here's a list of the most important problems found in Release Candidate 1:
- Windows 98
XnView 1.80 RC1 will not run on Windows 98.
- xnview.manifest missing
In the installation package of RC1, the manifest file is missing. As a workaround you can use the Manifest file of XnView 1.74. (You have to right click on the link and then save the file to the program folder of XnView 1.80.)
- Old xnview.ini
Newer XnView versions should surely accept old .ini files. At the moment, the 1.80 RC1 is a bit sensitive and some problems occur with old .ini files (settings). If you experience problems, it might be a good idea to rename your .ini file and see whether the problem still occurs. If not, please check whether your problem has been reported here, already, and add it if needed.
