16bit grayscale tiff thumbnails problem

Hi, i have 16bit tiff grayscale scans, and thumbnails of them look like this:
I hope you will fix this in new version cuz its happening since v1.96.2,

Hi, i think i wont be able to because these scans are like ~50MB..
