Idea for pan/rotate widget

ArtRage 3 has a new widget for manipulating the canvas. Something similar in XnView would be welcome as an additional alternative to the current mouse and keyboard behaviors:
The user positions the mouse over the desired portion of the widget and while holding the mouse button down, drags the mouse to perform the action. Very intuitive.
Similar to the Google Earth navigation widgets.
